HIKE

Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment Fund

The HIKE fund is the only charity for kids where the funds are raised by kids. Kids helping kids. HIKE is a philanthropy project supported by Job's Daughters International. The funds raised by our members and adults are used to purchase hearing devices or other assistive devices for children who's parents would not be able to afford those devices if not for the help of this fund. Established in 1985 the fund continues to help families of all walks of life. The fund has awared over $3 milion dollars in devices to very deserving children. All those who apply are given help but the waiting list can be up to six months long, depending on donations.

2008-2009 Kansas Daughter HIKE Coordinators

Daughter Hike Coordinators are members of Kansas Job's Daughters who have volunteered to go that extra step to encourage all the members of Kansas to help raise the needed funds. Daughters are selected from all the applications for many different reasons, mostly for their enthusiasm for HIKE and Job's Daughters.
