Supreme Session 2008 - Middleton, WI

The 2008 Supreme Session for Job's Daughters International begins officially on Wednesay the 30th of July. Activities and fun events begin a few days before then. Kansas has a number of people going and as you would imagine they are traveling on different days, different times and in different groups.

Carolyn and Cindy are traveling together. Jody was brave and took three girls with her and Connie, Rhonda and Tracy took four girls with them (packed very tightly in one vehicle). As they send updates on the goings on in Madison there tales will be posted here for all to read. I hope you enjoy their stories.

Day 1 (Sunday) from Jody:
It's on to Wisconsin ! Several vehicles of Kansas Jobies have headed north to Wisconsin. Our car consists of GBHQ Jessica #7, HIke Coordinator Odessa #7 and GB Inner Guard Abby #27 along with driver Jody. We've been in touch with Carolyn Block and Cindy Harwood who were about 10 miles ahead of us most of the way through Iowa. The jam-packed mobile with Connie, Tracy, Rhonda, Mariah, Miss K Ashlee and Anna left before us, but we couldn't get Connie to answer her phone.

We drove as far as Williamsburg, Iowa (the Amana Colonies) and spent the afternoon shopping at the outlet mall. Many bargains were found.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Wasserbahn, and the girls had a blast at the waterpark until lightening shut down the fun. After dinner, we hit the room and guess what's on TV? The Wizard of Oz ! So, even in Iowa, we can't escape Kansas!

Tomorrow, we are heading out EARLY so we can get to Middleton in time for Abby to compete in performing arts.

More tomorrow when we meet up with the rest of the Kansas delegation.
Day 2 (Monday) from Jody:
